Mountaineering Ireland is inviting applications for the post of Get Ireland Walking Project Manager.

Funded by the Irish Sports Council, Mountaineering Ireland (MI) with the support of a number of health promotion agencies, including the Health Service Executive, will introduce a new initiative, Get Ireland Walking, in 2013. This initiative aims to develop the culture of walking in Ireland by further encouraging and promoting walking and supporting the setup of new walking groups throughout the country. A broad network of agencies will be involved in the initiative and County Local Sports Partnerships will facilitate the introduction of the programme at county level.

The successful candidate will work to develop the Get Ireland Walking project, marketing plan, resources and support the projects delivery through County Local Sport Partnerships and all other agencies, community groups and sporting bodies.
