The sun shone for the 52nd Annual Liffey Descent which went off without a hitch (for most people!!) this weekend.  With over 450 competitors battling it out over 11 wiers and nearly 30 kilometres there was lots of action and excitment.  Congrats to Peter Egan (Salmon Leap Canoe Club) and Neil Fleming (Celbridge Paddlers) who crossed the finish line as clear winners in a time of 1:49:11.

Our very own Ger O’Reilly entered the race with Outsider Magazines Roisin Finlay and co-paddler Tanya Conroy, finishing 15th in thier class (touring canadian – triples) and they even stopped for lunch at the Leixlip Dam.   See if you can spot them in our Facebook Galleries where we’ve uploaded over 500 photos from the day
